Für die Antirutschbeschichtung auf der Unterseite verwenden wir ein hochwertiges Material aus recyceltem Leder. Dafür werden Lederreste aus Manufakturen gesammelt und zu einem neuen, strapazierfähigen Material verarbeitet. Dieses Recyclingmaterial ist nicht nur besonders langlebig und robust, sondern sorgt auch für eine zuverlässige rutschfeste Auflage auf Ihrem Schreibtisch.
Ein weiterer Vorteil dieses Materials ist, dass sich die Unterlage besonders präzise stanzen lässt. Dadurch entstehen sehr saubere, gleichmäßige Kanten, was nicht nur optisch hochwertig wirkt, sondern auch zur Langlebigkeit der Schreibtischunterlage beiträgt.

Unsere Schreibtischunterlage wird in Deutschland von Hand gefertigt. Dabei werden die vorgeschnittenen Linoleum Zuschnitte mit unserer anti-rutschbeschichtung verklebt und nachträglich sauber gestanzt. Jede Unterlage wird sorgfältig geprüft und in Handarbeit gefertigt. Durch die handgefertigte Produktion ist jede Schreibtischunterlage einzigartig und hat ihre eigenen natürlichen Unvollkommenheiten, die ihren Charme und ihre Einzigartigkeit unterstreichen.

What is Linoleum?
Linoleum is made from natural and renewable raw materials and is therefore a purely natural product that is 100% biodegradable. The main components of linoleum are: Linseed oil, resins, cork or wood flour and jute. The name Linoleum comes from the Latin word Oleum lini, which means linseed oil and thus refers to the most important raw material, linseed oil.
Linoleum was originally used as a high-quality floor covering, but was soon completely replaced by cheaper vinyl or PVC. Linoleum is increasingly being used in the furniture industry to embellish table tops and furniture fronts. This type of Linoleum is somewhat thinner and more flexible and is perfect for high-quality desk mats.
How is Linoleum produced?
Linoleum is made from a mixture of natural and renewable raw materials that are processed in several steps. Here are the basic steps that are typically carried out in the production of Linoleum :
- Collect raw materials: The main components of Linoleum are linseed oil, wood flour, cork or jute dust and resin. These raw materials are usually collected and transported locally.
- Mixing: The raw materials are mixed and boiled in a large kettle of hot water, stirring constantly.
- Preparation: The mixture is then applied to a prepared base (e.g. jute or cotton) and rolled to a thickness of around 2 mm to 5 mm.
- Drying: The material is then dried to remove excess moisture and increase its strength .
- Consolidation: The mixture is then consolidated with a marble roller to compact the material.
