But what we want even more is to fulfill a promise with MAX - namely to do something meaningful for our world, and this is how it works:
We are donating all the profits to a special nature conservation and future initiative: the ancient beech forest project of the well-known forester, conservationist and author Peter Wohlleben ("The Secret Life of Trees" and others). Each coaster finances one square meter of existing, old beech forest for 50 years.
By the way, if you can't decide on a color, choose the black leather coaster. You simply can't go wrong with it. Of course, our heart always burns for the typical leather color cognac. At Good Wilhelm in the studio, we also prefer to place our coffee cup on MAX in cognac. By the way, should a few water stains appear, you can simply wipe them off again. However, if a few stains do appear, they will never look unsightly.

It makes absolutely no sense to plant masses of young trees that will only effectively convert CO2 into oxygen in 20-30 years. Of course, we are not against the planting of new trees, which can make a lot of sense, but it has to be done very carefully. Not only must the right area be found, but also the right type of tree.
Of course, it sounds great when a project or a company plants several football pitches with young trees. But this should not just be a short-term marketing campaign. If the next flood washes away all the young trees because the compensation area is located directly in a flood zone, then you haven't won at all. Our first intention must therefore be to protect the existing forest. Only then should we concentrate on developing new forests.
