FAQ

Is the ALFONS holder also compatible with the 25W MagSafe?

The MagSafe holder Alfons is unfortunately not compatible with the new 25W MagSafe, as Apple has changed the magnet arrangement inside. This adjustment prevents a stable connection, as Alfons was specially developed for the 15W MagSafe model. In our opinion, however, the 15W MagSafe is perfectly adequate for the desk, where you have enough time to charge anyway.

Can I operate the MagSafe stand with one hand?

The ALFONS MagSafe stand offers two mounting options:

  1. With suction cup film: For a stable attachment that allows you to attach, rotate or remove your iPhone with just one hand.
  2. With anti-slip pad: Offers flexibility as the stand remains movable. However, it is necessary to use both hands to attach and remove the iPhone.

Choose the method that best suits your needs for maximum convenience and functionality.

Can I use the MagSafe Stand with a cover?

Yes, you can use the ALFONS MagSafe Stand with a case as long as it is designed for the MagSafe charging concept. Cases designed specifically for MagSafe support the magnetic connection, so your iPhone will stick securely and stably to the stand, even with a case.

What is the best way to use the Magsafe holder?

To get the most out of the ALSONS MagSafe holder, first choose between the fixed and the movable version. The movable version is pre-installed as standard and can be used flexibly - you can move the stand at any time.

If you opt for the fixed version with suction cup film, proceed as follows: First remove the protective film. Then clean the desired place on your desk thoroughly to remove grease and dust. You can then stick the MagSafe holder in place. Position it so that you can comfortably hold a video conference. Tip: Activate the camera on your smartphone to check the position and make sure you are clearly visible.

What does the Magsafe Stand consist of?

The ALFONS MagSafe stand is made of high-quality, recycled aluminum and oiled wood. You have the choice between two types of wood: Walnut or oak. Both types of wood are carefully oiled to emphasize their natural beauty and durability.
In addition, the materials can be easily separated at the end of the product's life, which facilitates environmentally friendly disposal or recycling.

What exactly is suction cup film and how does it work?

Suction cup film, also known as suction cup tape, or gecko film, adheres through millions of tiny suction cups and does not use adhesive. This technology enables firm adhesion to smooth surfaces without damaging them or leaving any residue. If the suction power of the film decreases, it can simply be cleaned with a damp cloth, which reactivates the adhesive power and the film can be used again.

How do I replace the anti-slip pad with the suction cup film?

We have developed our Magsafe holder to cover a wide range of application scenarios. To achieve this, we supply the Magsafe stand with an anti-slip pad as standard. This ensures flexibility and mobility of the stand. For a more secure attachment, we also offer a suction cup foil (included with the delivery). If you choose this option, simply remove the non-slip pad and replace it with the enclosed suction cup film. When attaching the suction cup film, it is important to remove the white protective film and stick it on - make sure you do not use the transparent side.

Visually an eye-catcher

A little too light, therefore somewhat unstable for ProMax

Thank you for your review. If the MagSafe stand ALFONS is too unstable for you, we recommend installing the supplied 'Suction Cup' suction cup foil. To do this, simply remove the glued-in rubber on the underside and replace it with the sticker supplied.

The film does not contain any adhesive, but consists of millions of microscopic suction cups that stick to any surface with light pressure. You can find more information on the product page. This makes your stand really secure and firm.

Elegant, simple and functional

The Alfons holder is stable and holds the phone very securely. The combination of wood and aluminum looks very elegant. Perhaps it could have been a little smaller. Otherwise top!
