Our sustainable materials

For our products, we only use raw materials and materials that are sustainable, fair and ethically sound. Here we want to give you a brief insight into our most important materials.

Leather hides in the color cognac lie on a work table

Vegetable-tanned vachetta leather from Italy, Tuscany

Only one type of leather is suitable for particularly high-quality and exclusive products: vegetable-tanned vachetta leather. We source this leather from the family-run Conceria 800 tannery in the heart of Tuscany. Here, the centuries-old traditional pit tanning process produces what is probably the most exclusive leather in the world.

Sustainability starts with the choice of materials

Finest mulesing-free wool felt from Germany

The oldest textile known to mankind still has its charm and simply ingenious functions. Thanks to its special density and grammage, our merino wool felt offers excellent protection, is temperature-regulating, natural and sustainable. Only mulesing-free raw material is used for our Merino wool felt.

GOTS certified organic cotton

We only use sustainable organic cotton for our inner lining. Our protective bags are also made from GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified cotton.
The production of organic cotton saves over 90% water compared to conventional production. In addition, fertilizers and pesticides are prohibited.

Did you know that in conventional production, an average of 20T liters of water is needed for one kilogram of cotton?

Made from old PET bottles

For our sustainable products, of course, only an environmentally friendly sewing thread can be considered. With the new sewing thread from AMANN, made from 100% recycled PET bottles, we have found an ideal addition to our products. Saba Recycled is GRS (Global Recycle Standard) certified and offers pure sustainability with very good performance.

Stainless steel components for good reason

Most of our products have stainless steel hardware components. Why? Stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, rust-free, durable, hygienic and it allows for perfect surfaces. In addition, the manufacturing process is one of the most environmentally friendly processes in the metal industry. Stainless steel makes all the difference when it comes to high-quality accessories.

Linoleum - An almost forgotten material - 100% natural

Linoleum is a sustainable and hard-wearing material made from natural raw materials such as linseed oil, wood flour, cork and resin. It is biodegradable and free from harmful chemicals. Because of these properties, it is often used for environmentally friendly products. For example, mouse pads, desk pads and placemats. Linoleum products have a long service life and are easy to clean, which contributes to sustainable consumption.

Alcantara: Luxurious sustainability in perfection

Alcantara is an innovative material known for its luxurious feel and outstanding durability. It is made from a special blend of synthetic fibers and offers a high-quality, leather-like texture that is both stylish and versatile. What makes Alcantara particularly sustainable is its commitment to environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. The material is 100% carbon neutral, as all greenhouse gas emissions during production are offset by comprehensive compensation measures. Alcantara is also extremely durable, which extends its lifespan and reduces the need for frequent replacement, conserving resources and reducing waste.
